Mr. Dwayne J. Petersen brings over two years of experience working in the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) field, supporting children and youth with behavioral and mild social challenges. Throughout his work, he has partnered closely with clients and their families to promote emotional regulation, social development, and improved daily functioning, particularly within the home environment. His experience includes supporting youth navigating behavioral challenges at home and school, family dynamics, communication difficulties, and adjustment concerns, while helping them build practical coping and life skills that support long-term stability.

Mr. Petersen’s treatment philosophy is grounded in careful listening, consistency, and encouragement. He believes meaningful progress begins when clients feel heard, respected, and understood. He takes time to actively listen to each client’s concerns and experiences, while providing positive, strengths-based feedback that reinforces growth and effort. He approaches his work with patience and intention, meeting clients where they are and tailoring services to their individual needs, abilities, and family dynamics.
